— 無常 —
川に入り周囲の自然とそこに置く石との関係を観察し石を組んでいく。
情景と石同士の関係が均衡した時、最大の刹那が訪れ、次の瞬間にはその姿は崩れてなくなる。
それらは永遠には続かないひと時の出来事や状態であり、そこに存在した刹那の最大値を写真に収めることが私の役目である。
— Impermanence —
I enter the river. I observe how the surrounding nature and the stone I am about to set relate to one another, and I build the stones up.
When the scene and the stones settle into accord, the greatest instant arrives, and in the next moment the form collapses and is gone.
These are events and states of a moment, which do not last forever. To capture in a photograph the fullest of that fleeting instant — that is my role.
